A special message from Bill Alexander Certified instructor Chad Marshall

Would like to learn how to oil paint?

If your answer is "YES", then please continue reading.

My name is Chad Marshall. I became a certified oil painting instructor with the Alexander Art company in 2007, and I've been interested in art my entire life. I love to draw and paint, and I put this website together so I can share my interest in drawing and oil painting with you.

I can teach you how to paint:
Sparkling seascapes
Huge snow capped mountains
Bubbling streams, waterfalls, ponds and lakes
Dense evergreen or leafy forests
Picturesque cliffs, rocky terrains, roads and paths
Realistic looking grass, bushes and foliage

Does this sound interesting to you? Would you like to produce your own landscape oil painting from start to finish, to give to family or friends, or to sell for a profit? I have sold many of my own paintings and given away many as gifts. There is no greater feeling than finding an owner for one of your masterpieces.

I have undeniable proof that my techniques work. In 2010, I gave my own daughter a full painting lesson. Here's what I did: I sketched a very simple scene on paper, and asked my daughter to paint the scene. Without any of my instruction, she painted the scene to the best of her ability. This is what she produced:

My daughter is obviously a beginner, so please don't criticize her too much. You have to remember, my daughter was 6 years old when she painted this. I allowed her to choose the materials that she would paint with and the brushes. The only thing I chose for her was the canvas, and it was a quality canvas.

Later that same day, we sat down, and I gave my daughter her first full length painting lesson. About an hour later, my daughter had produced the same scene. Except this time, I guided her in her brush and paint selection. I demonstrated to her how to mix the colors and showed her the proper techniques necessary to paint each element in the scene, and in what order they should be painted. With my guidance, this is what she produced the second time:

As you can guess, I was very proud of her work. Remember, she was 6 years old when we created this piece of art together. This is the same basic scene even though it looks entirely different. Notice how many of the elements in this scene look much more realistic and show so much texture. This is the difference you will see in your work if you allow me to guide you.

Please take a look at a few examples of my work. These are the type of paintings that I want you to learn how to paint:

The last one is called "Pathway To Autumn". It's one of my favorites. I put together an instructional E-Book for this painting a few years ago, and it's been my best seller.

I am so excited about your new oil painting hobby that I'm going to give you the Pathway To Autumn E-Book for free. That's right. Totally free. The only thing you have to do is sign up for my email list. The form is below:

After you sign up, you will receive a followup email immediately. The email will contain a link that you will need to click on. Once your email address has been verified by clicking the link, I will send the E-Book to you at no charge.

The reason I ask you to sign up for my email list is so we can keep in touch. I can offer suggestions that will help you as you start your new hobby, you can show me your progress and I can also let you know when I have new E-Books or DVD's available. I also find interesting oil painting related items online that I may want to share with my friends, so my subscriber list helps me get the word out.

If you have any questions about my free E-Book, or you just want to contact me with questions, please feel free. My email is cmarshall28@sbcglobal.net.

Do you think you can't paint?

Maybe you don't feel like you have the ability to oil paint or even draw a picture. I run across people like this all the time. Maybe you say to yourself "I can't even draw a stick figure", or "I wasn't born with natural talent, so I can never be an artist". Anyone can learn to draw or paint. It is not a talent given out to a select few by God. Drawing and painting and being an artist is something that some people choose to do, and by practice and dedication, these people become what they want to be and produce the art they see in their mind.

But I'm not even taking it that far. All I'm doing is offering to show you a dead simple routine for creating landscape oil paintings. I will show you the following:
How to select the proper canvas for your paintings
What oil paints and mediums to use for your paintings
What brushes to use and the proper techniques for using them
How to clean and maintain your brushes and other supplies
What additional supplies are necessary
How to set up a functional workspace to create your art

But that's not all that I will show you. In my free E-Book, "Pathway To Autumn", I give you a complete list of supplies to complete the project, as well as step by step photographs with descriptions. At every step, you will know exactly what to do. And even if you have trouble, you can simply email me and I will help you. I want you to succeed with your new hobby.

I'm willing to go the extra mile to help you because this is something that I enjoy doing, and I hope that you will enjoy it too. This is not my full time job. It's just a hobby that I enjoy very much.

Don't wait until tomorrow or the next day. Don't wait to hear what your family thinks about you trying something new (they are often the ones that will talk you out of it). You don't need anyone's approval. If you have ever wanted to pick of a brush and produce a painting that you can proud of, all you have to do is sign up and receive my free E-Book. It's the first step in what will surely become your new favorite hobby.

Don't wait. Sign up today!
Your free E-Book will be on it's way to your email in-box after you sign up and confirm your email.

Note: You will need PDF viewing software to view this E-Book. I recommend obtaining the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader or Foxit Reader

A little bit about myself:
I'm married to a wonderful woman and we have two very intelligent, outgoing children that we are both proud of. We reside near Wichita in the great state of Kansas. I've been drawing since the time I could hold a pencil, and creating landscape oil paintings for about 10 years now.

In 2007 I decided to step things up a notch and become a certified oil painting instructor with the Alexander Art company. If that name sounds familiar, it should. The company was started many years ago by the famous TV artist Bill Alexander.

Since then, I have helped many people start their new oil painting hobby. People turn to me all the time for advice, so please don't feel like you are bothering me if you need questions answered. I am here to help.

I hope that today is the day you begin the hobby that I love so much.

--Chad Marshall (and family)
